Supports full-time graduate students in the humanities and social sciences, enrolled in doctoral programs in the United States, conducting dissertation field research in all areas and regions of the world. Fifty fellowships of up to $20,000 will be awarded with funds provided by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation.
